Car Parade for Life

January 29, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

LOGISTICS ARE BELOW THIS MESSAGE

————————————————–

Brothers,

On Friday, January 29th at 1:00 PM EST we are tentatively planning a “Car Parade for Life.” Because of the pandemic the Knights of Columbus’ active role in Pro-Life and other activities has come to a screeching halt this year. The 12th consecutive Indiana K of C bus trip to the March for Life in Washington D.C. has been cancelled. .

Indiana K of C Pro-Life has come-up with an alternative plan. They intend to conduct state-wide car parades to be operated by each council. By remaining in our own vehicles we can send our message to all communities and yet remain safe from the virus.

We need drivers for this initiative. We will be planning out a route(s) depending on how many Knights step up to join in this effort. We’ll promote this parade in their our Parish bulletins.. Signs will be displayed on and in the autos. On the 29th, we’ll meet at a predesignated area and leave at 1 pm Eastern time coinciding with the National March.

This idea is very unique to say the least, perhaps even CRAZY! However, it can bring all of the Catholic/K of C beliefs to the public which the media does not present. But it requires YOUR participation!

My brothers, this project will take just an hour or less of your time but will mean a great deal to fight the culture of death that has gripped our nation! The Knights of Columbus have carried the Catholic message for years and now we have a program that can reach ALL Americans! We ask you to join in this parade and make it a success.

More details will be made available as all the planning comes together. But, for now, we need to know if you are willing to participate. We’ll need to either order or make signage for the vehicles in the car parade. Please respond to this message asap so we can get an idea of how many we need to plan for.

Thank you,

Bret Ridgway
Grand Knight
