DESCRIPTION:Thank you for joining us for night #1 of the Knights of Columbus Novena. We will begin Saturday\, April 18th and conclude Sunday\, April 26th\, 2020. Each evening we will begin at 7:00 pm and end before 7:30. We will do a Rosary beginning promptly at 7:00 followed by a different prayer each night of the Novena. Thank you. \nTo gain access to the Novena Night #1 go to -> https://us04web.zoom.us/j/453644806?pwd=dk1Va1FTUS9rWkVDejIxbzRqang5Zz09 \nMeeting ID is: 453 644 806\nPassword is: 003629 \nFor this evening we will be doing the Joyful Mysteries. \nPrayer for the Unborn \nAlmighty God\, our Father\,\nyou who have given us life\nand intended us to have it forever\,\ngrant us your blessings.\nEnlighten our minds to an awareness\nand to a renewed conviction\nthat all human life is sacred\nbecause it is created\nin your image and likeness.\nHelp us to teach by word\nand the example of our lives\nthat life occupies the first place\,\nthat human life is precious\nbecause it is the gift of God\nwhose love is infinite.\nGive us the strength to defend human life\nagainst every influence\nor action that threatens or weakens it\,\nas well as the strength\nto make every life more human\nin all its aspects. \nGive us the grace…\nWhen the sacredness of life\nbefore birth is attacked\,\nto stand up and proclaim\nthat no one ever has the authority\nto destroy unborn life. \nWhen a child is described as a burden\nor is looked upon only as a means\nto satisfy an emotional need\,\nto stand up\nand insist that every child is a unique\nand unrepeatable gift of God\,\na gift of God\nwith a right to a loving\nand united family. \nWhen the institution of marriage\nis abandoned to human selfishness\nor reduced to a temporary conditional arrangement\nthat can easily be terminated\,\nto stand up and affirm\nthe indissolubility of the marriage bond. \nWhen the value of the family is threatened\nbecause of social and economic pressure\,\nto stand up and reaffirm\nthat the family is necessary\nnot only for the private good of every person\,\nbut also for the common good of every society\,\nnation and state. \nWhen freedom is used to dominate the weak\,\nto squander natural resources and energy\,\nto deny basic necessities to people\,\nto stand up and affirm\nthe demands of justice and social love. \nAlmighty Father\,\ngive us courage to proclaim the supreme dignity\nof all human life and to demand\nthat society itself give its protection.\nWe ask this in your name\,\nthrough the redemptive act\nof your Son and in the Holy Spirit. \nAmen. \n
