DESCRIPTION:The Knights of Columbus will be providing a volunteer work crew for the United Way Day of Action on Friday\, July 27th from 8:30 to Noon. A free breakfast is available beforehand at Maryland Community Church on Hwy. 46 at 7:30 am.\nThe project we have selected this year is the Lake La Fer Beautification Project at St. Mary of the Woods. A description of this project is below. We need at least 8 Knights to step up to help with this project. Please email info@THKofC541.com if you can assist. Thank you. \nDescription\n\nWe have recently added a walking trail around Lake Le Fer. We are now ready to add mulch and seating areas\, including park benches and picnic tables. \nWe will provide gloves\, wheel barrows\, and some shovels and rakes. If volunteers have a shovel or rake to bring along\, that would be welcome. \nMeet in the parking lots by Knoerle Center and the Library on campus. \nHow will this project impact Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College? \nThis area is open to not only our campus community\, but to the public as well. We want to encourage visitors to come enjoy our campus. This area will also be used as an “outdoor classroom” for students studying environmental science\, biology\, etc.
